About AMS
The Australian Macadamia Society (AMS) is the peak industry body representing Australia’s macadamia industry and over 600 members across the supply chain, including growers, processors, nurseries, researchers, consultants, and commercial partners, with grower members producing more than 85% of national output. Established in 1974, AMS works to promote and coordinate the industry, share knowledge, and advocate on key issues affecting members, while supporting productivity, profitability, and long-term sustainability. Through industry collaboration, AMS has led research, development, and marketing initiatives for over three decades, and is also involved in conservation programs protecting wild macadamia species. Today, AMS continues to support industry growth by engaging new entrants, strengthening community relationships, and representing members at local and government levels.
